FCA Virtual
FCA Virtual
Resources to help you grow in your faith in a virtual environment.
During this unprecedented time, FCA remains committed to our mission of leading every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA Virtual enables us to continue to pursue our mission through an online platform. Our push to launch FCA Virtual, is to ensure that even during times of "social distancing" coaches and athletes in the Lakeway Area do not experience "spiritual distancing." That is why we are encouraging you to use these resources that we have compiled here. We want to use this time to grow closer to God, and closer as a community.

This year, Lincoln-Memorial started their own tradition with their very first multi-sport huddle!!! This week they had 50 student-athletes kick off the year!
We are so excited to see God continue to work at Carson-Newman, and watch as He opens new doors and grows at LMU!
Give them a follow to keep up with what’s going on!

In the past month, Marty has had 3 opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to groups of students using The Four. We have seen 87 students make a decision for Christ and over 100 other rededicate their lives to live for Jesus. God is up to something! Come get on board. #FCA #fcapursue #TheFour #Gospel
Everything has changed. We all know this, but just because the world around us has changed, doesn’t mean that ministry has stopped. Our theme for Lakeway Area FCA 2020-2021 year is:
If not us, then who? If not now, then when?
“Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, and then comes the harvest’? Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest.
John 4:35 (CSB)
With so many changes in our world, our vision and mission have remained firm.
Our vision: “To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
Our mission: “To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.”
We have had to get creative and find new methods to continue to minister to coaches and athletes in 2020, and God continues to be faithful.
We were not able to host our normal banquet this year, but we put together this short video to show you some of the things that have been going on in FCA this year, and to ask you please consider supporting us financially. We hope you join us in watching!
If you feel led to give after this video you can give in one of three ways:
1.) You can make a one-time donation by mailing your check to

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.” - Philippians 4:4-6
—————-
Our world is facing one of the fiercest pandemics in history. It has disrupted everyone’s lives by shutting down businesses, schools, and athletic events. The cases of infections and death are increasing. The world is in a panic. Even in these times of crisis we can pause, rejoice, and give thanks to the One who is in control.
—————
Similarly, our world is under attack by the spiritual forces of evil. Its spread can wreak havoc. Just like the CDC has guidelines in place to reduce the risk of spreading or contracting the Coronavirus, we can follow spiritual guidelines that can prevent our risk of losing faith and encouraging others in theirs.
—————
For example, we must “socially distance” ourselves from worldly ways, clean our hands often by bathing in God’s Word, and live pure and upright lives, practicing godliness and holiness. In Christ, we are the light in the darkness, offering hope and peace to others by encouraging them to replace their fear with faith in God. We can give thanks and rejoice in our Savior for His greater purpose.
—————
We have God’s peace that transcends all understanding. God calls us to be strong and courageous. The greater our faith, the less our fear. God can use us to be the calm and peace in others’ lives. We can help them focus on the Lord rather than the fear or the problem our world faces. He is our Savior!
—————
1. As Christ-followers, what should our response be to the current crisis?
2. What steps can you take to help others replace their fear with faith?
—————
•Matthew 14:28-32
•Joshua 1:9 •Hebrews 12:14
—————
“Father, thank You for Your divine intervention in our lives. Help us to experience Your presence and peace amidst the chaos around us. Replace any fear with steadfast faith in You.” #FCAVirtual

"Huddle Up!" A Global Sports Gathering
As we continue to explore what sports ministry looks like in our socially-distanced landscape, we're so excited to invite you to a global digital gathering–an online "Huddle". In this season without sports, we hope these all-in huddles will encourage and challenge you, and coaches and athletes around the world, who are searching for connection and sports-related content. Each week we'll feature prominent sports figures engaging in conversations about sports and faith. We would love for you to join us on Wednesdays at 3:30pm EST as we huddle up around the Word.
